Aprezo 30 mg tablet (one of the most effective Indian brands of Apremilast) is an oral treatment form that helps regulate inflammation in people with active psoriatic arthritis (PsA), moderate to severe plaque psoriasis, and oral ulcers associated with Behçet’s Disease by inhibiting an enzyme called phosphodiesterase 4, PDE4. The inhibition of PDE4 helps control symptoms of the disease such as stiffness, pain, swelling, and tenderness of the joints, ligaments, and tendons.
How to Take Aprezo - Dosage, and Administration
Aprezo tablets should be swallowed whole and should not be broken, chewed, or crushed before swallowing. It can be taken with or without food. Treatment is started with a 14-day starter pack. The starting dose is 10 mg taken on the first day. The dose is gradually increased for 5 days until the recommended dose of 30 mg twice a day is reached.
Day 1: 10 mg in the morning
Day 2: 10 mg in the morning and 10 mg in the evening
Day 3: 10 mg in the morning and 20 mg in the evening
Day 4: 20 mg in the morning and 20 mg in the evening
Day 5: 20 mg in the morning and 30 mg in the evening
Day 6 and thereafter: 30 mg twice a day
The recommended long-term dose is 30 mg twice a day. Patients with renal failure should have only a maximum of 30 mg per day. Do not stop taking Aprezo without talking to your doctor first.
Other medicines and Aprezo
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medicines. This includes medicines obtained without a prescription and herbal medicines. This is because Aprezo Apremilast tablets can affect the way some other medicines work. Also, some other medicines can affect the way Aprezo works.

➡ phenytoin, phenobarbital, and carbamazepine - medicines used in the treatment of seizures or epilepsy

Pregnancy and Breast-feeding
You should not become pregnant while taking this medicine and should use an effective method of contraception during treatment with Aprezo 30 mg. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this arthritis medicine.
It is not known if this medicine passes into human milk. You should not use it while breastfeeding.
